Installation Instructions:

1. Burn the Firmware to a Disc

   • Download the ISO file and burn it onto a CD-R using ImgBurn (set speed to 1x for best results).

2. Start the Update Process

   • Insert the burned CD-R into your Toshiba HD-A1 or HD-XA1.
   • The player will detect the update and prompt you—select “Yes” to proceed.
   • The update process may take several minutes—do not turn off the player.
   • Once completed, the player will shut down and eject the disc.

3. Finalizing the Update

   • Turn the player back on using the remote.
   • Leave the disc inside for a second, shorter update cycle.
   • The player will shut down again—this is normal.
   • Restart the player, remove the disc, and test an HD DVD to confirm the update was successful.
