Description

Paul Krenner, a disgraced ex-major with delusions of grandeur, coerces scientist Dr. Peter Ulof into developing a radiation-based process capable of turning men invisible. Krenner’s ultimate goal is to create an invisible army, which he plans to sell to the highest bidder.

To test the procedure, he breaks safecracker Joey Faust out of prison and forces him to undergo the experimental treatment, using his newfound invisibility to steal radium needed to further the experiments. But as Faust soon discovers, the process comes with dangerous and unexpected side effects that threaten to derail Krenner’s ambitions.

A classic example of early 1960s low-budget science fiction, The Amazing Transparent Man blends crime drama with speculative sci-fi, delivering a pulpy and entertaining cautionary tale.

Originally filmed on 35mm with mono sound and later transferred to tape for storage, the film was allowed to degrade significantly over time. This release represents a painstaking restoration effort and has been assessed at a 6/10 video quality rating. While some sequences appear crisp, others remain limited by the surviving source materials. The result is a fully watchable presentation and one of the highest-quality versions currently available.

Our 4K UHD discs are compatible with all major Ultra HD Blu-ray players.
