Description
A gentle and whimsical fantasy-romance, Halfway to Heaven follows a man who is unexpectedly visited by God and informed that, upon his death, he will be sent to a celestial “halfway house.” There, he must wait in a state of suburban limbo while his eternal fate is decided.
During his stay, he encounters others trapped in the same uncertain condition, including a woman who may just be the girl of his dreams. As they plan to spend eternity together, they soon discover that destiny — and divine intervention — may have very different plans in store.
Blending comedy, romance, and supernatural fantasy, Halfway to Heaven offers a charming and lighthearted take on love, fate, and the afterlife, characteristic of early 1940s Hollywood storytelling.
